Journal of business capabilities (JBC) is a scholarly journal that focuses on investigating business capabilities, emphasizes research on business and capabilities issues faced by African companies operating within and beyond Africa as well as international companies.

 JBC covers the entire field of business capabilities and its associated sub-areas. Also, due to the nature of the subject, its reach extends further to cross-disciplinary work.

JBC publishes articles which are: based on quantitative or qualitative empirical work, conceptual, theory driven, literature reviews, case studies, book reviews, executive interviews, and thought pieces - without preference.
